Loading Bay Overhead Doors for Corina Snacks, Nisou

Corina, a leading snack manufacturer in Cyprus, operates a production and distribution facility in Nisou where maintaining product quality and operational efficiency across multiple loading bays is critical to daily operations.

The facility required a comprehensive loading bay solution to manage simultaneous vehicle movements while protecting temperature-sensitive inventory and maintaining hygiene standards required for food production environments. The challenge extended beyond simple vehicle access: with multiple dock positions operating concurrently, the facility needed doors that could withstand intensive daily cycling while providing reliable environmental separation between conditioned interior spaces and external conditions.

The non-trivial constraint was coordinating installation across nine separate loading positions without disrupting ongoing production and distribution schedules. Food manufacturing operates on tight timelines where any interruption to loading bay access directly impacts both inbound raw material deliveries and outbound finished goods distribution.

SPIMA specified and installed nine overhead doors engineered specifically for loading bay applications. Overhead doors were selected for this application because they provide the robust construction and reliable operation required for high-frequency loading dock environments.

The overhead door configuration delivers several operational advantages for food production facilities. The vertical opening mechanism maximises usable dock space and eliminates the swing radius required by alternative door types.

The installation provided Corina with standardised loading bay access across all nine dock positions, simplifying maintenance protocols and operator training while ensuring consistent environmental control.
