New Drive-in system for high density storage from Schaefer
In the first quarter of 2006, SSI SCHAEFER launches the new Drive-in pallet racking system, offering customers high-density storage at highly economical prices. Brainchild of the Asia product development team, the latest Drive-in system encompasses safety, quality, originality and price competitiveness - all in one.
The new Drive-in System requires no arms or brackets; instead it uses a pair of rolled formed galvanized self-centering rails, bolted directly to the post. The top rail level can exceed 10m ensuring maximum use of available headroom.
The rolled rails, presenting a smooth clean surface are available up to 11982mm in length, and closed at the entry face with brightly coloured yellow inset to facilitate the visibility and operation, are manufactured from high density polypropylene. To enhance left to right stability, so critical in the Drive In operation, the new system features a plan bracing tower fitted to overhead portals the entire depth of the lane. A similar bracing tower is fitted vertically to the rear or center of double access block, these are fitted every 6 to 8 lanes. Utilizing the additional strength and rigidity gained by both the pallet rails and bracing towers SCHAEFER engineers have been able to increase weight loading values, providing a very competitive storage solution which fully complies with, the soon to be introduce FEM codes. Other system options include the Pallet safety back stopper, a new design of floor channel and a range of post protectors.
